Her mother, Margaret Pacholka, was a school teacher for many years and she taught 4 grades in one class in French and English. She dedicates my accomplishments to her, because she always taught her to read from an early age.  Her father worked in aerospace for most of his life, and in 1965 they moved to California.  She followed his footsteps and worked in aerospace for almost ten years. She dedicates her enthusiasm to live life to its fullest from her dad. She then went into the finance industry and studied business and law at La Verne University.

Marlene Mendoza holds a MSM, BSM, CSA, SHRM and CRMC. She is a film producer, Executive Producer with Gilt Entertainment. She has a Master’s of Science in Management (Leadership), (Summa cum Laude 4.0) and a Bachelor’s of Science in Management (Sales and Marketing). She is a Certified Risk Management Specialist.

Her company Gilt Entertainment is an independent global film development, high-end story and production company. They have a strong diversified presence in motion picture production, and digital distribution for home and family entertainment. They provide production, business consulting, transformation leadership skills, sales and marketing management, marketing director, and talent management services. They have a blueprint for growth that combines the flexibility and entrepreneurial culture of an independent company with financial and strategic relationships worldwide.

Marlene Mendoza is producing the upcoming film titled “The Mob” now in Pre-production which is based off an adaptation the novel authored by Marlene Mendoza and G. R. Holton. She is producing “The Mob” based on 1930’s era with co-producer Director Larry McLean, Gary Van Haas, Tony Severio and Randall Oliver scheduled for release late 2014. As well as developing the screen adaptation of a book “Galaxy Watch (The Galacteran Legacy). She acquired financing for “Galaxy Watch” scheduled for release 2015 after “The Mob”.

In addition, Marlene is working with Gary on “Malabar Run” a psychological thriller. Plus working on “The Maul” which is a Socio-political ethnic drama and “Showdown in Durango” for Mexico. Plus, a crime thriller drama film called “The Club” for Las Vegas.

Marlene’s newest venture is working on the film “The Family” with Thomas Raft Producer/Actor of Jefatov Films and Niels U. Basse of Azazello Productions. It’s a Socio-drama film set for Scandinavian country with A-list cast and director.

​

Plus she is producing “Fearless Heart” in development that is a Socio-drama film about 1929 and the Great Depression. The moral of the story is to have faith. Marlene Mendoza also has a fantasy film and two sci-fi films open for co-production.

​

There are new major films on the horizon with major director/cast in place, including a digital distribution company. Marlene has recently j/v with AIM Digitech out of India to produce a film called DevilShare that will be made into a Television series. The video has been shown on India television and is now hitting the film festivals for a TV deal.

​

As of this writing Marlene is in talks for a reality TV show and it will benefit an environmental organization with a veteran component. She will be the Producer of the show.

​

Besides running her own independent film development company, Gilt Entertainment, she also heads her own worldwide talent management firm. She has two lovely children Dan and Michelle who have made her proud and she lives in Palm Springs, CA.
