About the Author
A tragic, life-changing event occurred in my mid-teens that transformed me into a creative writer. After a decade-long attempt at becoming a professional song lyricist, and despite having several songs recorded in various parts of the world, I eventually embarked on a long career in the landscape industry.
It was during this period that I started writing my first novel, The Poe Consequence, a story originally inspired by the number of gang affiliated housing areas I worked at. The book went on to be included in Kirkus Reviews’ ‘The Best Books of 2015’ year-end issue, winner of the 2021 Book Excellence Awards for Best Fiction Novel, winner of the 2022 Maincrest Media Book Awards, winner of the 2024 Global Book Awards for the Suspense Action Fiction category, and winner of the 2024 American Fiction Book Awards for the Horror: Paranormal/Supernatural category.
My second book, You Say Goodbye, originally inspired by a story in the obituary section about Alexandra Scott from the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, was selected as the 2020 winner of the TopShelf Book Awards for Best Fiction/Intrigue, winner of the 2022 Maincrest Media Book Awards for the Mystery/Suspense category, winner of the 2024 Global Book Awards for the Traditional Detective Mysteries category, and a finalist in the Book Excellence Awards competition.
My third novel, In Lieu of Flowers, is my first with World Castle Publishing LLC and was inspired by a remarkable event that happened to my grandfather as an infant in the late 1800s in Bucharest, Romania. The book placed as a finalist in the 2024 American Fiction Book Awards for the Horror: Paranormal/Supernatural category, and also received a finalist placing in the Chanticleer International Book Awards for the Paranormal Fiction category.

There are over 300,000 gravesites in Evergreen Cemetery, and all of the occupants are resting in peace. Except for two. One with a warning to give. The other who the warning is about.
