Daniel Smith is from central Illinois, where he lives with his wife and four children. Smith holds a certificate of achievement in Mining Engineering.

Smith has been a life-long fan of the Science-Fiction genre, and hopes to continue his contribution to it. When he is not writing, reading or watching science fiction, Smith enjoys building furniture, doing home renovation projects and spending time with his children.
